A brother and sister come to visit their mother's grave. The brother scares his sister with stories about zombies, not realizing that they are not far from reality. Suddenly a dead man pounces on them - the brother is killed, and Barbara runs away, finding a farmhouse on the way. Some time later, Ben, whose car's gas tank has run out of gas, pulls up to it.
