Before being burned at the stake, the princess curses her executioners to the seventh knee. Two centuries pass. Dr. Kruvayan and his young colleague Andrei's carriage breaks down on the way to Moscow, and while the coachman is trying to insert the wheel into the groove, the curious gentlemen look into the ancient crypt, where by a fatal coincidence of circumstances rests the very same witch princess.
